Starting in September 2026, we will offer the first edition of the highly-acclaimed “Montessori School Leadership” course, with international AMI Trainers, to support leaders, school administrators, lead guides or anyone in leadership roles,
The Course will be in English, possibly with translation to Portuguese.

About the Trainers for this MSL Training Course:
Nancy Coronado: As a Montessorian, Nancy has a passion for supporting our work towards equitable and inclusive classrooms so that each child and adolescent can feel the gift of belonging. She believes that equity and belonging are central to our Montessori work and inherent in the tenets of Montessori education.
After a long career in education as a teacher, guide, adolescent program director, and interim head of school, Nancy now works as a consultant and AMI Leadership Course Trainer.
Nancy holds an AMI 12-18 Diploma, an AMI Montessori Core Principles Certificate, a Master's in Education (focus on Adolescent Psychology) from Harvard University, and has worked as an educator for over 30 years. Nancy has been involved with or led ABAR work since 1990.
Karen Bennetts: Karen has been involved in the Montessori education sector for over three decades. She has been a Montessori teacher, principal, board director, consultant, researcher and parent. Karen holds the AMI 3-6 and 6-12 Diplomas and the AMI Orientation to Adolescent Studies. Karen holds a PhD in Montessori Leadership from Monash University in Melbourne and is currently working on publishing material from her thesis. She is a qualified Company Director with over 20 years of governance experience and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. She has worked for government, large corporations and SMEs and is currently a board director at Sydney Montessori Training Centre and Mansfield District Hospital. In 2016, she was granted a State Fellowship Award from the Australian Council of Educational Leaders for her contribution to the education sector.
Course Dates and Format
Este Curso (Diploma AMI 0-3) tem um formato BLENDED (online e presencial), com 3 módulos presenciais intercalados com 3 módulos online (ver ao lado).
This AMI Certificate course follows an ONLINE weekly format, with 1 session per week (on Wednesdays, 19h30-22h), running from 02 September to 18 November 2026.

Para submeter a sua candidatura, envie-nos estes documentos por email. A candidatura tem o valor de €100 e será deduzida do valor da inscrição no curso, caso a candidatura seja aprovada. Este valor não é reembolsável. Os detalhes para transferência bancária serão enviados individualmente por email após receção dos documentos de suporte da candidatura.

Requisitos para a Certificação pela AMI:
AMI Requirements for Certification
Mínimo de frequência de 90% do curso, incluindo nas sessões online (em directo, via zoom)
Acesso a computador com internet, disponibilidade total durante as sessões online do curso.
Elaboração de Trabalhos escritos / assignments de forma satisfatória durante o curso.
Completar todas as atividades e tarefas do curso, seguindo as orientações das formadoras AMI.
